The Simple Life default is to launder all clothes in cold water. Why Cold Water? Our service is fully customizable and there are times when warm or hot water is needed. Simply select this in your care preferences when placing your order or leave a note explaining your request.
We at Simple Life always separate/sort clothes into a minimum of two categories before washing: Lights & Darks. (Some prefer to seperate Whites as well, but usually this is only needed if using Bleach. Keep life simple and sort Whites into the Lights pile). This Article goes into a deeper dive about why you should always sort. You can also separate by Fabric type, delicate materials such as silk or wool versus sturdy materials like cotton or denim. Soil level is also a sorting option for items that require a heavy duty wash cycle or extra rinse. For best results always check the labels if not sure and DON'T overfill the machines.
Always use the proper amount of detergent to ensure your clothes are washed correctly. Using the correct amount will simply increase the longevity and quality of your clothes. The american cleaning institute has many resources to learn about the different types of detergent, click Here
